Hi, I'm Tammy La Bier. I moved to Virginia in 1992. I like adventure and trying new and exciting things. I don't like to get into ruts, it makes for a long and boring day. So, I try to keep things fresh and exciting as much as possible.
Since 2002 I've gone back to
school to acquire a better education for a more prospective job field. Being in
school one requirement is that each student takes two PE or Health classes. I
chose to do PE. Well little did I know what a blast I would have. The first
class I took was hang gliding. Who
knew that I could carry a 20 foot wide hang glider that weighed 55 pounds plus
myself off the ground. Definitely a blast. Can't wait to go to Nags Head to hang
glide off the sand dunes.
The next
thing I did, even though it wasn't part of my classes, was to go tandem skydiving.
This experience was even better than the hang gliding. Falling out of the sky at
200 miles an hour for 60 seconds was totally out of this world. The view was
spectacular. Definitely breathtaking.
My next PE class was snow boarding. This was fun, but more of a challenge then I had anticipated. I had a ball learning how to snowboard, but I think next time I'll do skiing.
Even though I have taken all of my PE classes, PVCC offers rock climbing in the summer, which I would love to take. Also this summer I'm trying to get to West Virginia to do the White Water Rafting they offer.
I also have two cats that keep me very busy. I have a male named Tiggie and a female named Houndini. But I love them dearly and look forward in seeing them each afternoon when I get home.
